Turn completed work into a reusable skill

Draft a method from completed work and validate it on another input before scheduling.

On this page

Complete and review a real task before saving its method as a skill. Capture input requirements, steps, and result checks as well as the prompt.

Screenshots show the Chinese application interface in a Test environment with example data.

Draft from completed work

  1. Open skill discovery and choose creation from work.
  2. Select a completed task, conversation, or source, then enter a name and purpose.
  3. Draft a candidate and inspect its procedure, capabilities, and input scope.
  4. Complete inspection and confirmation, install it, and try another source in a new task.

Drafting creates a candidate without installing it or changing the original work.

The Skills page shows import, diagnostics, and trial-run controls. Counts and diagnostic results are test data, not defaults for a new account.

  1. 1Start with Discover and import, and review diagnostics when needed.
  2. 2Create or add a skill from the top controls.
  3. 3Read the skill details and try it with a small input.

Reuse an executed processing script

When a CodeMode execution offers a save-as-skill action, inspect the preview and save it. Fill in parameters such as folder, date, or filter conditions, test it in a new conversation, and mark whether the result is correct.

Failed, canceled, or incomplete executions cannot stand in for successful skills. Ask the assistant to make a script independent of old conversation data and rerun it when necessary.

Validate reuse

One successful execution establishes only that input. Run a different input in a new conversation and inspect the result to validate reuse. Revalidate after changing the version or input scope.

Schedule a validated skill

After validation, check the fixed version, inputs, and permissions when scheduling. Script skills containing MCP calls currently cannot run on a schedule; use them manually in a conversation and handle approval.
