Run deep research

Define scope, select local or online sources, and inspect the report's evidence.

On this page

Use research for questions that require repeated reading, comparison, and verification. Define the question, time range, audience, and intended report first.

Screenshots show the Chinese application interface in a Test environment with example data.

Prepare and start

  1. Select research as the handling mode in the workspace and state the question.
  2. Select sources. Choose source-only work for existing material, or enable online research for public webpages.
  3. Check the research model, network mode, and execution options. Configure search in Research and network settings if necessary.
  4. Confirm the source and network scope, then send.
  5. Follow stage progress in the execution record. Open the report and check its sources when it finishes.

If conversation attachments are not yet library sources, follow the prompt to save them for traceability or skip them for that round.

Detail of the research composer: the source count is zero. Select sources and review web access before sending.

  2. 2Select sources and choose source-only or web access.
  3. 3Check the model; test-model is only a fixture name.

Check sources, web access, and model before research

Continue research

Choose whether to reuse saved evidence or refresh sources before continuing. Changing the model, source selection, or execution options starts a new research run on the next message rather than preserving an identical investigation.

Research has its own stage continuation and budget controls; ordinary Agent behavior should not be assumed to apply.

Inspect and save the report

Reports are stored on this device and can be viewed or downloaded from the run record. Check central conclusions, source dates, the scope of supporting passages, and unresolved questions.

To retain knowledge in Wiki, create and review an update proposal. A completed report does not mean Wiki was changed. Sources saved for proposals support later verification.

  1. 1Open sources and evidence in the side panel.
  2. 2Compare each conclusion with its original evidence.
  3. 3After checking, download the report or store it in the Library.
