Send tasks through messaging channels

Connect a channel, approve a controller, and inspect execution on the desktop.

On this page

Remote control accepts direct-message tasks through WeChat, Telegram, or Discord. It uses the Agent on this device, so the computer and application must be running.

Connect and approve

  1. Open Remote control in Settings and enable message-based control.
  2. Follow the channel's QR-code or bot-credential setup and verify the connection.
  3. Initiate pairing or a message request from your account.
  4. Return to the desktop, check the pending controller and verification information, and approve.
  5. Send a simple read-only question and inspect both the desktop conversation and channel reply.

Use a dedicated Telegram bot: connecting removes its existing webhook and lets this device receive messages. Do not reuse a bot that another application depends on.

Configure remote execution

The three channels share working location, permissions, model, skills, and source-scope settings. Saved settings apply to the next task; changes to working location or permissions open a new conversation.

With approval-required permissions, out-of-scope access can wait for desktop confirmation. Attachments remain with the conversation, and outputs return to the original channel without automatically entering the Library.

Pause and troubleshoot

The main switch stops sending and receiving while retaining connections and approved controllers. Review channel-specific guidance when disconnecting. Diagnose receive and send failures separately; a missing reply does not prove the task never ran.

Incoming files are currently limited to 20 MB each, and returned files are also subject to platform limits. Inspect larger outputs on the desktop.
