Install, register, and update

Install on a supported Mac, create your account, and understand application updates.

On this page

After installation and registration, you can set up your library and add content. AI features also require a model service configuration.

Screenshots show the Chinese application interface in a Test environment with example data.

Check compatibility

Use an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 15 or later. Check the Atlasnote Pro download information on the products page. Atlasnote and Atlasnote Pro are separate applications.

Install and register

  1. Download and open the Atlasnote Pro DMG.
  2. Drag the application into Applications, then launch it from there.
  3. Complete the account and library-location steps below.

Enter your email. Use your own email address and request an invitation code. If you already have a Pro account, sign in instead of registering again.

Start registration with your own email address; the address shown is test data.

  1. 1Enter an email address you can access.
  2. 2Request an invitation code, then check your inbox.

First registration: email and invitation-code request

Start registration with your own email address; the address shown is test data.

Verify the invitation code. Copy the code from the email into the application, then continue. Email, invitation code, and password are the three steps within account setup.

Enter the invitation code from your email before setting a password.

  1. 1Enter the invitation code, not your sign-in password.
  2. 2Continue to the next step. If necessary, wait until resending is available.

First registration: enter the emailed invitation code

Enter the invitation code from your email before setting a password.

Set a password. Enter the same password twice and meet the displayed requirements before creating the account. The screenshot deliberately retains a mismatch message to show what to correct if it appears.

Password validation example: the two entries shown do not match yet. Correct them before creating the account.

  1. 1Set a password and repeat it in the confirmation field.
  2. 2Resolve the password-mismatch message first.
  3. 3Create the account after the password meets the requirements.

Confirm the library location. After creating the account, check the local folder and its writable status before continuing. Language and appearance controls are at the bottom left.

Initial library location: check the local folder and its writable status. Do not copy the example path.

  1. 1Check the library folder and writable indicator.
  2. 2Continue with this location when it is suitable.

Next come AI connection and your first source. You can configure AI later if you only want to read, and use the sample source if you do not have material ready.

Update the application

The website currently lists version 0.0.2, which supports subsequent in-app updates. Users with 0.0.1 must manually install 0.0.2 once; waiting for an update notification cannot repair the missing update configuration in the older installation.

Finish important tasks and create a backup before updating. Read the release notes for changes that need manual action.

Troubleshooting

If the email does not arrive, check the address and spam folder, then wait for the resend option. If the account service is unavailable, retain the error message and try again later. Creating another library will not resolve a registration failure.

Next step

Configure your first AI model, then try a short source-based question.

Configure model, media, and connected services as needed. See each article for requirements.
