Create and manage scheduled tasks

Set frequency, time zone, source scope, and authorization, then inspect actual runs.

On this page

Use automation for well-defined recurring work. Run the task manually first. Saving a schedule does not establish that it has executed successfully.

Screenshots show the Chinese application interface in a Test environment with example data.

Create a plan

  1. Open Automation from Home and choose to create a plan.
  2. Enter its name, task description, sources, and research scope.
  3. Select a model and decide whether to allow network access, later source revisions, and specific skills.
  4. Choose daily, weekday, weekly, interval, one-time, or source-change scheduling and check the time zone.
  5. Choose whether to skip missed runs or catch up with the latest one, then inspect the next run time.
  6. Review authorization expiry and usage limits before saving.

For fixed script reuse, validate the skill and schedule it from its skill controls.

Execution requirements

Plans run on this device. The computer and application must be running, required services available, and authorization valid. Do not assume a cloud service executes work while the computer is off.

Changed selected passages can pause a plan pending reselection. Reading later revisions requires explicit authorization; passage access does not silently expand to whole documents.

Review and adjust

Open plan details to inspect actual run times, status, reports, and attention notices. Use the available controls to run manually, pause, resume, or revoke.

Resolve model-call limits, unavailable skills, and authorization changes before resuming. Do not blindly repeat failed or uncertain executions.

Next step

See Dream overnight organization for accumulated reading and conversations, or usage for costs.

Configure model, media, and connected services as needed. See each article for requirements.
