Figma connects reusable creative workflows as enterprises report agent deployments
Figma is connecting image and video generation to repeatable design workflows. AWS details coding previews, government-cloud access and freight exception handling, while Microsoft builds synthetic enterprises to evaluate Copilot. DoorDash's early order figures provide a concrete measure of external agent adoption.
Other developments concern infrastructure and accountability: Nvidia is reportedly discussing credit support for data center construction, and Fujifilm plans to expand tape capacity. Stolen developer credentials, academic disclosure and student-aid fraud expose different problems in access control, authorship and identity verification.

Figma Weave connects design frames and packages generation workflows as reusable tools
Figma outlined how Weave connects with Figma Design, combining images, prompts, generation and editing in reusable node-based workflows. Teams can branch from the same material, compare results across models, and add color correction, compositing, cropping or video trimming.
An entire workflow can become a Weave tool that colleagues run by uploading new material, without rebuilding its nodes. Community publishing is available, and these tools can run inside Figma Design. Design frames can also feed into Weave, reducing the movement of assets between design work and generated imagery.

AgentCore session endpoints provide live previews of agent-built web apps
AWS published a web-preview implementation using AgentCore Runtime. A coding agent edits a project inside an isolated session, while a session endpoint exposes its development server. The example uses Vite so developers can see file changes through browser hot reload without deploying again after every edit.
Endpoints forward HTTP requests and WebSocket connections, with access authenticated through SigV4 or JWT; knowing the URL alone does not grant access. The service lasts for the isolated session and supports development previews and interaction. It does not turn a temporary development server into permanent production hosting.

OpenRouter demonstrates scheduled agents with persistent memory and spending controls
OpenRouter released a TypeScript tutorial that uses its Agent SDK to check Hacker News on a schedule, remember previously seen stories and produce digests. Each run starts a fresh conversation, while files retain memory across restarts. Tools that affect other people can pause for approval before proceeding.
The example sets stopping thresholds of six steps and $0.05. Conditions are checked between tool rounds, and a final summary call is added, so actual usage can slightly exceed the thresholds. In its October 13 tests with Claude Haiku 5.5, checks cost $0.0003–$0.0012 each, implying roughly $0.86–$3.46 a month at 15-minute intervals. Those figures describe this example, rather than a fixed price for any always-on agent.

ChatGPT desktop can route inference through Bedrock in AWS GovCloud
AWS published a managed-device deployment guide for routing ChatGPT desktop and Codex model requests to Bedrock endpoints in GovCloud's US-West region. It combines AWS identity controls, device policies and network restrictions, with per-token billing and no seat licenses or developer-count commitments.
The guide supports a zero-data-retention configuration and restricts unapproved external connections and network-enabled capabilities. Inference can remain in the selected region, but GovCloud use and this configuration do not themselves authorize an agency workload. The organization must review models, workstations, repositories, credentials and data flows through its own approval process.

Worldwide Express reports roughly 75% less value tied up in freight exceptions
A newly published AWS case study describes how Worldwide Express uses three specialized agents for invoice matching, pricing discrepancies and accessorial-charge validation. The system connects to its transportation platform and carrier policies, starting with human review before expanding bulk processing after validated accuracy exceeded 99%.
Six months after deployment, the company reported that the value tied up in unresolved exceptions fell from $15 million to about $4 million, a roughly 75% reduction. It also reported a four-week improvement in time to cash, around $1 million in annual savings and a one-time release of approximately $10 million in free cash flow. These are customer-reported outcomes; the cash release is not recurring annual revenue or profit.

DoorDash says external AI agents have generated only hundreds of orders so far
Ars Technica reported that DoorDash CEO Tony Xu told its October 29 earnings call that external AI agents had generated only several hundred orders since becoming available. Xu said people still tended to come directly to DoorDash for a straightforward task such as ordering food.
The figure covers third-party agents, excluding the company's own AI features such as Ask DoorDash. Its MCP connector for external tools had been available for less than a month and remained limited to a small group of early beta partners, mainly handling corporate lunches. The count therefore does not describe usage of all AI features on the platform.

Microsoft evaluates Copilot in three synthetic enterprise environments
Microsoft researchers described synthetic pharmaceutical, capital-markets and software companies whose organizational structures, emails, meetings and project histories support Copilot retrieval and synthesis evaluations. Public occupational data, job postings and regulatory filings inform roles and scale, while the pipeline uses no real customer data.
The system generates industry-specific questions and checks accuracy, duplication and safety. Microsoft reported a 39% improvement in its internal composite measure of synthetic-data quality over the initial approach, and estimated savings of about $100,000 per evaluation dataset. That percentage measures the quality of the synthetic environment, not an equivalent improvement in Copilot answer accuracy.

Allen Telescope Array agents process observation streams at 2.4 terabits per second
Nvidia described work by the SETI Institute and Breakthrough Listen at the Allen Telescope Array. Agents can respond to natural-language requests by steering antennas, calibrating signals, checking data errors and producing plots. Holoscan moves sensor data directly into GPU memory, with inference performed near the observing instruments.
The team says the system handles 2.4 terabits per second on RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs and has detected a pulsar in the Crab Nebula in real time. That result demonstrates the observation and processing pipeline; the detected signal came from a known astronomical object, not an extraterrestrial civilization.

Nvidia reportedly discusses debt guarantees for Nscale data center construction
TechCrunch, citing The Information and Bloomberg, reported that Nvidia was discussing guarantees for billions of dollars in debt financing for Nscale's West Virginia data center. The support would cover electricity and construction costs for a project intended to serve Anthropic. The arrangement remained under discussion rather than completed financing.
The reported structure is a residual-value guarantee: if Nscale cannot meet construction payments, Nvidia could temporarily take over the facility and seek a buyer or replacement tenant. Compared with earlier support focused on equipment purchases and leases, it would extend Nvidia's credit backing into the construction of data centers themselves.

Fujifilm plans a roughly ¥10 billion investment to quintuple tape shipment capacity
Fujifilm announced roughly ¥10 billion of investment at its Kanagawa Factory's Odawara site. Equipment and staffing expansion during fiscal 2026–2028 is intended to raise data-storage tape shipment capacity to about five times fiscal 2025 levels. The expansion primarily supports LTO Ultrium10 as generative AI and cloud services increase archiving demand.
Tape supports inexpensive, long-term storage and can be physically disconnected from networks to provide offline protection against threats such as ransomware. Fujifilm calls this its largest investment in dedicated LTO tape facilities. The fivefold target concerns planned shipment capacity, not the capacity of an individual cartridge or current sales.

Wiz reviews incidents at nine AI developer platforms and measures stolen-key abuse
Wiz reviewed security incidents disclosed by at least nine AI developer platforms in October and examined two downstream cases of stolen enterprise credentials. One Bedrock key received about 800,000 calls in 30 hours, with roughly 90% succeeding. Another received about 1.7 million calls in 13 hours, including over one million successful requests.
Researchers said the traffic resembled resold coding-agent usage and estimated that the two cases could exceed $100,000 at list prices. Wiz did not establish a common vulnerability across all incidents or a definitive link between resellers and the initial attackers. The report adds cross-platform evidence and measurements of downstream abuse.

Dartmouth provost resigns after review of AI-use disclosure
Dartmouth announced that Provost Santiago Schnell had resigned and would leave the college following an investigation. An independent faculty committee found that he used AI to substantially alter writing in violation of at least one publication's use or disclosure requirements, and failed to disclose AI use as required by a national newspaper.
The president's statement emphasized transparency, candor and academic responsibility, rather than announcing a general AI ban. Historian Matthew Delmont will serve as interim provost through June 2028. Dartmouth is continuing its AI discussions while asking leaders to meet the standards expected of students and researchers.

DOJ charges five people in a student-aid scheme allegedly sustained with AI
The US Justice Department announced Operation Ghostbusters charges against five defendants over an alleged network using stolen identities and fictitious students to divert federal aid. It also announced the seizure of more than $750,000 in cryptocurrency. Investigators described AI-assisted coursework and simulated attendance used to keep payments flowing.
The department said investigators identified 830,840 potentially fraudulent aid accounts associated with nearly $130 million and recommended disabling them. Potential fraud does not mean every account has been conclusively adjudicated. The criminal charges are allegations, and defendants remain presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
