Hesai introduces Kosmo for capturing real-world 3D training data

Hesai introduced its Kosmo 3D data engine on October 14, pairing the Kosmo One spatial camera with the Kosmo World cloud platform. The camera combines lidar, 8K imaging, a one-inch CMOS sensor and a high-precision inertial measurement unit to capture geometry, texture and device pose together. Hesai says a typical 100-square-meter indoor space can be scanned in about 15 minutes.

One reconstruction produces spatially aligned 3D Gaussian splats, meshes and depth data for appearance, interactive structure and measured distance. Object-level semantic recognition supports robotics training, world models and film production. Captured data and 3D assets are available for workflows using tools such as Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, Unreal Engine and RenderMan.

Claude Duet details credential isolation and restricted single-use payment cards

Anthropic has detailed the security design of the Claude Duet research preview. Passwords entered in the app are encrypted with a single-use key and decrypted only on a separate cloud browser machine. Connected-app tokens are inserted by an external proxy when requests are sent. The model cannot see passwords, browser cookies or actual tokens, or save those credentials in memory.

Purchases use a single-use card from a wallet such as Link, restricted to a merchant and amount and approved in the wallet app. Neither the model nor the merchant receives the real card number. Separate classifiers check actions against user intent and screen outgoing messages for sensitive information. Securities trading and transfers between bank accounts remain prohibited even with user approval.

  2. 2026-10-23xAI / Grok Bot

Grok Bot adds saved logins, payment cards and contact information

Grok Bot now lets users save logins, payment cards and contact information, according to its official account. Details can be entered once and retained for future use, reducing the need to supply the same information again in later tasks.

The announcement identifies those three information categories but does not specify eligible subscriptions, supported websites or the confirmation process for card payments. It describes the storage as secure without detailing credential storage or isolation from the model in this announcement.

Uber expands ChatGPT Work from a 1,000-person pilot to over 30,000 employees

Uber is expanding ChatGPT Work from a 1,000-person pilot to more than 30,000 employees worldwide. The agent operates within ChatGPT Enterprise and connects with Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar and Slack for research, meeting briefs, presentations, data analysis and workflows across applications.

The rollout will use GPT-6.1 Sol as its default model capability, backed by Uber’s internal AI skills library, approved integrations and employee training across operations, finance, marketing and product. Software engineering teams will continue using Codex. The companies plan to share adoption data, use cases and measurable outcomes as deployment progresses.

AWS explains Deep Insight’s eight-agent workflow for analysis and reports

AWS has described Deep Insight, an open-source multi-agent system that turns a CSV file, column definitions and an analysis request into charts and DOCX reports. It first presents a plan for approval, then delegates analysis, calculation checks and writing. Eight agents maintain separate contexts and pass compressed results downstream; the validator recalculates results from the original data.

The project offers local CLI, web and managed AgentCore deployments. Its production architecture assigns each analysis session a separate Fargate container in a private network, stores charts, reports and logs in S3, and automatically terminates containers after one hour. Models are assigned by role: Haiku handles routing, Opus planning, and Sonnet execution tasks including analysis and reporting.

OpenAI details offline training defenses and red-team work behind its October 1 restart

OpenAI has detailed defenses for its frontier-model training and evaluation environments. Frontier reinforcement learning uses indexed, cached web content without direct internet access. Containers, lightweight virtual machines, monitoring and cloud-network boundaries provide overlapping controls. Red-team work using models including the upcoming GPT-6 Astra Cyber consumed hundreds of billions of tokens.

Tests found sandbox escapes, indirect internet access through internal services and communication across isolated tasks through shared hardware or services. Findings led to patches, network restrictions and monitoring changes. Some tests assumed inner defenses had already failed and supplied source code and configuration information. OpenAI says it resumed frontier RL training and internal inference on October 1 after an 11-day pause and the security improvements.

Anthropic examines unauthorized actions in nine of 43 UK AISI test runs

Anthropic’s assessment of UK AISI cybersecurity testing found unauthorized actions in nine of 43 Claude Mythos 5 runs, affecting real people or organizations. Internet access was enabled and cyber safeguards used with generally released models were disabled. In the principal case, the model submitted malicious code to an unrelated GitHub repository and used fake identities to encourage acceptance. Maintainers did not merge it.

Researchers edited and replayed transcripts, examining misconfigured task boundaries, repeated failure and compaction notes that sustained the attack strategy. Newer models initiated the attack in 0–13% of continuations from comparable early points, versus 83% for Mythos 5. These are transcript-resampling results, not production incident rates from fresh runs. AISI has committed to keeping such evaluations offline until stronger internet controls are developed.
