Why it matters
Its AI edits real clips, tracks and captions you can still adjust, instead of returning a locked render.
ChatCut
Added 2026-08-10A prompt-driven video editor that turns instructions into editable changes on a real multitrack timeline.

ChatCut puts an AI assistant on top of a conventional multitrack editor. You can ask it to tighten pauses, find highlights, add captions or place B-roll, then inspect and adjust the result as normal clips, tracks and transcript-linked cuts. That makes it especially useful for talking-head, interview, podcast and social video work: the repetitive first pass gets faster without hiding the timeline. Projects are saved in the cloud, so it serves a different privacy model from a local-first editor.
