Game Builder: Build, Review, and Refine Playable Games
Added 2026-09-30Two game-development skills by Eric Zakariasson: game-builder coordinates planning, implementation, and independent visual review, while its Blender companion creates key 3D assets.

Install the collection with npx skills add ericzakariasson/skills, or append --skill game-builder for the main skill alone. It first settles the gameplay brief, reference screenshots, and visual criteria, then builds a playable loop and develops lighting, materials, geometry, UI, and motion. An independent critic compares live captures with shipped-game references, identifies verifiable defects, and reviews fresh captures after the builder makes changes. Repeated failures trigger a diagnosis rather than another identical repair round. References are for comparison; names, art, and audio in the game must be original. The companion game-builder-blender-assets applies when the project needs 3D: separate specialists model and texture key assets such as a hero character or first-person weapon in Blender, export GLB files, and submit multiple views for inspection before integration. For 2D and pixel-art games, sprites take priority. The main skill needs an agent environment with separate subagents or sessions and full-resolution image viewing; the companion also requires Blender and a GLB-capable renderer. Repeated build and review rounds can take substantial time. Public release requires separate authorization by default. The repository is MIT-licensed and has no shared version number.
